Roxas will not get any mouthful support from us – fisherfolk group
Manila, Philippines – The militant fisherfolk group Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya ng Pilipinas (PAMALAKAYA-Pilipinas) on Friday firmly states that they will not give any support to Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas on presidential elections on 2016.
President Aquino anointed Secretary Roxas as Liberal Party’s standard bearer on the 2016 presidential elections today.
In a statement, the PAMALAKAYA Vice-Chairperson said Roxas is just another landlord, pro-ruling class and inutile government official who will continue the hypocricy of Aquino’s “Daang Matuwid” (Straight Path).
The group also said that Roxas have failed millions of fisherfolk due to his mediocrity, ignorance and political arrogance when a super typhoon hit and devastated the Eastern Visayas.
“Roxas will not get any mouthful support from the fisherfolk sector. He already showed his true colors when he refused to help the victims of supertyphoon Yolanda in Tacloban just because their local government is Aquino’s political rival. Majority of the supertyphoon victims are small-fisherfolk and until now, there are no any substantial help coming from the government.” France said.
The PAMALAKAYA contest the early compliments on Roxas that he may be a potential good leader for he does not have any “bad record”.
“Let’s say Secretary Roxas doesn’t have any ‘bad record’ and not involved in any corruption scandals. But he also doesn’t have any track record that contributed to the betterment of the country and the Filipino people. He is just a mediocre and is not qualified to run the country.” France said.
Back when Roxas was the Secretary of Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), he doesn’t have any achievements to improve the Metro Rail Transit (MRT).
“We are afraid that Mr. Palengke will just continue his predecessor’s anti-people policies and programs which are in favor to the big business groups and foreign capitalists.” France said.
“If Roxas wins the 2016 presidential elections, he will automatically absolve Aquino’s heinous crimes against the people like his involvement in the Mamasapano incident, the unconstitutional pork barrel and Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) scandal, his criminal negligence to the victims of the supertyphoon Yolanda, and many more.” France said.
“Roxas will not just erase Aquino’s crimes once elected as President, he will also ‘shift+delete’ those crimes until permanently forgotten.” France added.
The group reminded the Filipino people to vote wisely and choose the candidate that has a really good track record, and will surely serve the interest of the people.
“We remind the public not to fall into persuasive and sugar-coated lies because we already hear those lines from Aquino. Mr. Palengke’s humble words and humility are only good for election ad and for image building. For the Filipino fisherfolk, Roxas is no longer in contention in the Presidential race courtesy of his inutile, anti-fisherfolk and anti-people view.” France ended. ###
